News post

Hey people, if you're reading this, that means I'm not typing to myself, which is a good thing; I guess. Anyways, it's been a bit since I've posted something, but I haven't been sitting in a coffin the entire time, contrary to popular belief. I've been building Lego, but I've been to lazy to post anything, I'll try to post something soon, but for now, here is a clip of my newest structure.
I'll post more in depth on this later, but hopefully the picture will be enough for now. If it is not enough, well tough. I've got better things to do then post pictures all day, like hoard money in a dark room! (The American dream lives on)
I'm just kidding, I'll post more later, and my room is not completely dark. Want proof? well here, have a picture! (Note that there is in fact some light in the picture)
In other news, I'm currently working on an animation, which hopefully will be finished by the end of the year, I'm still in the scripting stage, but hopefully I'll be done with that soon. All I'll say for now is that it's about dwarven politics; whatever that means. As mentioned before, there is a light source in my room. The lighting was not exactly satisfactory for animation though, so, I bought a new lamp. The part I'm excited about, is that it has a light adjustment knob. That way, I can have much better lighting for my pictures, and animations, which then means I can show you reader(s) better quality stuff, exciting eh?

And finally, I'd like you to note my new profile picture, who in the world would have a beard, and an electric guitar.... well, that is all for now, I'll post again soon(ish)!

Spider droid video

This video was an experiment with masking. I wanted to see if I could make the Lego robot fly. As you can see, it worked, but I need a little practice to get the shadow of the wire out of the picture.

Spider droid

A miniature robot spider roughly the size of a minifigure. I was experimenting with a new design idea when I came up with this, happy Summer!

Legos of the day!

Hey again, it's been a week or two since I posted anything. But, have no fear! I have been busy building(and playing baseball and going to school, oog) I have built two models to share with you today. They are(drumroll please) A car, and an earth house!

I hope you like them. To see the car you will have to go back a page or two, I took a lot of pictures. Tell me what you think!

Melville's house

This is the front view of Melville's house. It features wooden pillars that help support the sod roof. It also has an ever important invention known as the door. I have also adapted the use of flower boxes to my building. As you can see, this is an earth house, and as such has a green roof=D Enjoy!

West side

This is the west side of the house. As you can see it has flower boxes like the South side of the house does.

North side

This is the North side of the house. as you can see this is the side with the most earth on it. It features two angle windows to catch more sunlight!

East face

This is the west side of Melville's house. As you can see like the east and south side it has window flower boxes.

Kitchen

The kitchen(suprisingly enough) is where Melville makes his meals and washes the dishes. It features a stove and sink. Above the before stated is a shelf for spices and jars. The kitchen also has a small table, stool, and counter with pots and jars on it.

Entryway

This is the entrance to Melville's humble abode. In the corner behind the door you can see he has a hat stand. He also has a rack for his walking stick and hatchet.

Bed

This part of the house is where Melville sleeps, you can see the fireplace in the corner which we will talk about next! Above his bed you can see he has a map. What could it be for? He also has a window by his bead so he can see out when he wakes up in the morning!

the hearth

This is the hearth or fireplace in his house. This little corner has a fireplace, 3 windows, a barrel with his wooden sword in it. Plus, he has his wooden shield mounted on the wall above his chest of personal belongings! In the picture you can see tha he is attempting to stoke his fire.

Lego car

This is my first realistic & minifig scale Lego car I have succeeded in building. I would also add that I haven't tried to build one in a few years. Anyways, The car features four wheels, seats, and opening doors!=D It's actually a pretty basic car. And, last but not least, it has seating capabilities for two people!

Inn

This is my version of an old inn, it is complete with a kitchen, dining hall, master bedroom, and storage/bedroom. A fine place to spend a medieval night munching maggoty bread, drinking ale, and talking with fellow drunks!
Posted by Picasa

Top floor

The top floor serves as a storage room and a place for cheap bedding. This is a good alternative to a pricey fully furnished bedroom. The room includes heating and stairs down, isn't it nice not to have to jump out of a window to reach the bottom floor?
Posted by Picasa

Dining room

This is the main entrance to the inn. It is also the place where meals would be served and travelers would meet with friends. Complete with a fireplace, main dining table, smaller table, and fireplace!
Posted by Picasa

Master bedroom

This is a bedroom that the owner of the inn would sleep in. Or perhaps a wealthy noble or traveler.
Posted by Picasa

Kitchen

This is my inn's kitchen. Complete with sink, stove, and angry chef!
Posted by Picasa

Back alley

This is the back ally of my Inn, the door you see is a backdoor into the kitchen, the black pipe coming off the building that you can see in the bottom right hand corner is a drain out of the sink in the kitchen.

Lego animation

This is the first part of a Lego stop motion short movie I'm working on. The main character (Melville) and his sidekick the knight(Oswald) are in search of the piece of a map , that leads to a treasure! But, someone else is also after the treasure! Can Melville and Oswald get the treasure map which is supposed to be hidden in the inn? Or will someone else get there first!

The windmill project!

This is my first ever Lego windmill, I would say this is my best creation to date and most interesting. My goal was to make a mechanicaly functional windmill, which did in fact happen, yay! I used gears inside to run from the windmill fan thingy down to the black knob located below the side window. The knob spins when the fan does, therefore my windmill could run an appliance such as a winch if connected properly. Also, I had on this at one point a power house. But, it didn't look that great so I removed it. But, in the power house I made a gear shift, that way the windmill could power 2 things. I had a table saw and I couldn't think what else to add before I wrecked it.
I wouldn't say this windmill is a complete success though, unlike my other creations, this does't have much for an interior=( But, if I ever make another windmill, I thought up a way to make the different floors easily accessible, this would allow me to complete the interior in a detailed and interesting fashion!
Until next time, I plan to work on a water powered sawmill type thingy! Adios!
